- Day 1
Afternoon
- Arrival and Departure for the Desert - 2:00 PM: Arrive in Jaisalmer and meet your tour guide at a designated point in the city. Depart for the Sam Sand Dunes, approximately 42 km from Jaisalmer city.
- Day 2
Mid-Afternoon
- Kuldhara Village Visit - 3:00 PM: En route to the Sam Sand Dunes, visit the abandoned village of Kuldhara. Explore the ruins and learn about the mysterious history and legends of this ghost village.
- Day 3
Late-Afternoon
- Arrival at Sam Sand Dunes - 4:30 PM: Arrive at the Sam Sand Dunes and check in to your desert camp. Refreshments and welcome drinks will be provided.
- Day 4
Evening
- Camel Safari and Sunset - 5:00 PM: Embark on a camel safari across the stunning dunes. Enjoy the ride as you traverse the vast expanse of the desert, taking in the unique landscape.
- 6:30 PM: Reach a vantage point to witness the mesmerizing sunset over the dunes. Capture the moment with photographs and soak in the tranquility of the desert as the sun sets.
- Day 5
Night
- Night: Cultural Program and Dinner - 7:00 PM: Return to the desert camp. Enjoy a traditional Rajasthani cultural program featuring folk music, dance performances, and fire shows.
- 8:00 PM: Savor a delicious dinner buffet with a variety of traditional Rajasthani dishes.
- Day 6
Late-Night
- Return to Jaisalmer - 9:30 PM: Depart from the desert camp and head back to Jaisalmer city.
- 10:30 PM: Drop-off at your designated point in Jaisalmer city.

How to reach Jaisalmer
Four ways in — we handle transfers from all of them.
By Air
Jaisalmer Airport (JSA) has seasonal flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Jaipur (Oct–Mar). Jodhpur Airport (JDH, 285 km) runs year-round and pairs well with our chauffeur transfer.
By Train
The overnight Delhi–Jaisalmer Express (14659) and Jaipur–Jaisalmer Express are the classic options. Jaisalmer Junction is a 10-minute drive from the Fort.
By Bus
RSRTC Volvo and private sleeper coaches connect Jaisalmer with Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaipur and Delhi. Comfortable, but slower than train or private car.
By Road
NH11 and NH125 are well-paved. Self-drive or chauffeur-driven — Jodhpur is a scenic 5-hour drive; Jaipur 9–10 hours with a Bikaner or Pushkar stop.

Do's
- Carry light cottons for day and a warm layer for desert nights.
- Keep a valid photo ID — required at fort and camp check-ins.
- Stay hydrated; carry a reusable water bottle.
- Respect local customs at temples and havelis — remove shoes, dress modestly.
- Tip performers and camel handlers modestly if you enjoyed the experience.
- Book desert camps and palace stays well in advance for October–February.
Don'ts
- Don't wander into dunes alone after sunset without your guide.
- Avoid tap water — stick to sealed bottled or filtered water.
- Don't photograph locals, especially women, without asking first.
- Avoid heavy meals before camel or jeep safaris.
- Don't buy antiques from street vendors — export is restricted.
- Avoid single-use plastics inside the fort and desert zones.
